Sounds like you blew a fuse. The dash and tail lights are usually on the same fuse. Thiere is a reason for it. You always know when you lose dash lights so that’s the best way to insure you do something when the taillights go out. Don’t just look at the fuse and assume it’s good, because it looks OK. Many times I have seen a fuse that looked OK that actually tested bad.
