Converse All Stars, a classic. Love them. They’re very comfortable and they’re perfect for a night at the movies or just hanging out with the guys.
Obviously they do not have much support or cushion (and I wasn’t expecting any). If I was going to be on my feet all day or doing something real active this is not the shoe I would choose.
The service here was excellent. I couldn’t be more pleased.

Falling apart after 1 month

I really like Chuck Taylor shoes and these aren’t my first pair. But they are the first pair that have started to fall apart after 1 month of use. Not really falling apart but developing holes throughout the canvas. Not sure what’s going on but I’m very disappointed.

Hurt My Feet

These shoes look great. They are very trendy and a lot of people are wearing them nowadays. The biggest problem I have with these shoes is that they hurt my feet. The soles are too flat. When I tried running in them, my heels began to hurt. Walking wise, they aren’t the most comfortable to say the least. They are also heavy for what they are. Too expensive for what they are. These shoes are probably bad for your back because they don’t absorb any impact. Personally, I don’t recommend them for anyone.

I am on my third pair of converse, and I LOVE it to bits. They’re reliable (My first pair lasted 2 years, i was reluctant to buy another since it broke in), last forever (you know, 2 years is a lot considering the other cheap China made crappy shoes), and when you break them in, they’re heaven to your feet. One thing though, if you are going to use it for exercising, bad idea. Some Dr.Scholl’s slip-ins might make it more bearable. Overall, comfort 8/10 and style 10/10. Customizable 10/10. Great buy!

Having a wide foot they fit a little on the narrow side – I kept them knowing that canvas will probably stretch without to much problem. Also my shoes make a slight hollow sound from one of the baby toe tips; I’m assuming with time that too will abate.

My cons were cheaper than getting them in the store and are my first pair. I love them they won’t be my last. The people I ordered from through amazon sent me a shipping confirmation and on the confirmation it said it was a different shoe, but when I got them they were the ones I ordered from amazon so no harm done.

I had been looking for Purple Chuck Taylor Converse shoes for over 30 years and of course I finally found them on Amazon. Do not expect them to have ANY arch support. They are not high tech in any way, but they look very cool. I recommend getting insoles to make them comfortable.

The tongue, the footbed, and the label on the heel of the shoe don’t have the trademark R with a circle around it that are on my original Chucks that I ordered from [...] It makes me wonder if these are authentic.

The last time I wore a pair of chucks was back in the early 80′s. They are just as I remembered them. They are comfortable and easy to break in, plus my feet don’t hurt after wearing them all day. Awesome shoes!! I’ll be buying another pair.

All things seem o be going “Retro” which is fine since I’m “old-school”.As in other revues, peple have had trouble with the sizing. Just remember that mos shoes such as these are all UK measurement which means they will be a size larger than usual, i.e 101/2 are 91/2, like Reeboks. These should last awhile, arrived 2 days ahead of schedule, and only cost half what they would go for around here. Thanks to the vendor, very excellent on their behalf.

These are just as you would expect with Chucks. You need to buy a size smaller than your actual size since they run big. I got these very quickly so that’s always a plus. The purple is gorgeous. In all, no problems.

The service from American Athletics is poor. The shoes were the wrong size but they refused to refund the postage and wanted to charge postage again to resend the correct size. Won’t be shopping there again.

Takes me right back to Monday mornings at the school bus stop early 80′s before Michael Jordan and Nike. In my neighborhood, there was always a debate of who had on the cleanest white All-stars at the bus stop. It was serious business.
No one dared show up at the bus stop wearing dirty All-Stars. And oh my goodness…please don’t be wearing any off brand “jeepers”. you got laughed at big time.
We had a saying..”when you begin to slip and slide…get the shows with the stars on the side”. I just ordered my two year old his first pair. I’ll tell him the legend behind the shoes when he’s older.

A classic shoe and still my favorite after all these years. Can’t beat the price either with what sneakers cost these days. I no longer use my CTs for working out, exercise, aerobics, running or anything like that and wouldn’t recommend that anybody else do so either. The cushioning is the same as it used to be back in the day, which is to say there is none. But for everyday walking, hanging out around the house, or indulging in a little retro fun these really are great shoes.

I normally wear a size 10 in womens, but these are sort of big. I wish I saw the reviews before I bought them. I would have gone down a size. I definately suggest you go do that before you commit to a purchace with these shoes. They got here super fast, I was wearing them two days later!! Thank you so much.

I had my first pair of Converse All-stars in high school in the early 1960′s. That was before they were known as “Chucks.” They were, and still are, the best basketball sneakers around. They’re good for everyday workouts and just hanging around the house. Comfortable, inexpensive and they last just about forever.

Oh man I’d forgotten how easy these are to wear! Make sure and get 1 size smaller, they do run big no matter what they say at the shoe store. A classic that never goes out of style. I hadn’t had a pair in years and these are rapidly becoming my “go to” pair of shoes.

I always liked Converse and they are the same, great shoe they have always been. If you haven’t ever had a pair, get some! They are very basic, no lumpy arch supports that drive me crazy, and they come in every color you can think of. In my opinion, they are pretty fashionable.

This is only for Converse virgins. These are Chuck Taylor Converse,Low Top Black M9166. AMAZING, stylish, classic,unisex shoes that goes well with pretty much any outfit and can be used for just about any “normal” activity..school,moderate gym time, daily wear, etc.
Three things to watch for:
1. Keep ur shoes clean of mud, dirt, coffee stains, dog poop, etc etc. The whites are really white and when the stains contrast against the black, it shows the whole world what a dirty bum you really are. ( Unless you go for that scruffy, bum look then its PERFECT for you.)
2. The sizing run larger than normal. Meaning I normally wear size 9, and I fit in a size 8. I think the rule of thumb is to go a size smaller with these.
3. Make sure your socks fit u. MAke sure the shoes fit you, but not too tight. Canvas shoes are UNFORGIVING on ur feet when wearing with really thin socks or loose socks. Think massive blisters.
Other than that. Enjoy. These shoes are great, especially for their price. I also recommend the leather version and the Jack Purcells. Great alternatives or just get them all lol.

Bigger than you think

I usually wear a 10.5 in most shoes, including Vans, which are my normal brand. The 10.5 Chucks that arrived are almost a whole size larger than what i’m used to. They are more like 11.5 They fit fine width wise, but my toe barely reaches the white rubber in the front. So word of advice, order a size smaller than you think.

My mom (older) was astonished that i’d paid this much for this shoe with ‘back in the day’ she got them cheap cause they were a piece of rubber and canvas…still are but i thought totally worth it! Very comfortable!!
I’m going to get a pair in every colour!
And the size was right on, i got a 6.5 mens (8.5 womens) it it fit perfectly!

I love these shoes. They are not true “athletic” shoes and work really well in my casual work environment without looking too casual and clunky. I am a woman and still want to maintain some sense of style without sacrificing comfort. These shoes do it for me.

After seeing the popularity of this shoe, I decided to test it out myself and I am impressed. Although its not too comfortable, they hug your feet and don’t slip off even when loose, which is exactly what I was aiming for.

The Vegan shoe

For all of those people who would rather pet the animals than wear them, these are the shoes for you! Converse has been making “Chuck Taylor’s” longer than I have been alive and not one animal has lost it’s life to make them! The only downside to Converse is that they are not the most comfy shoe, however, a insole insert fits rather nicely into them and then your good to go.

We bought these for my daughter to start school. They are classic, cool and don’t cost a fortune. The conversion from men’s to women’s sizes was accurate. They hold up much better than knock-offs of the same style. Also Amazon makes things so easy, my mother wanted to get my daughter something to start school & didn’t have time to shop. I went to my daughter’s wish list & because I have shopped Amazon for my mother before I had all her information. I was done in 3 minutes.
