Very good cover for the price. I have been using it for several weeks now and it is great. I did not give it 5 stars because it does not have a clasp to keep it shut and also the cover tends to hang to the side a bit. It is not really a problem, but it is kind of annoying.

The case is a firm cover for your newest Kindle 2 device. The installation of the Kindle was easy and the reinforcements with the corner straps protect the Kindle against daily/casual use. The padded leather cover and interior felt texture gives added piece of mind for protection.

For the price, the construction is solid and creates a convenient method of protecting your Kindle 2.

    Highly recommend.

I liked the feel of the cover for the Kindle. I wanted to protect my Kindle and the jacket appeared to serve that purpose. I liked the number of choices I had in color. It holds my Kindle snugly. I wish it had a light in it. I did not buy the light accessory, but I have book lights that are not conveniently attached and I often find myself holding a light to read in bed.

Just got it and it is already coming apart at the seam a little bit. Good feel to it, but a little rigid and hard to bend back as well. Definitely shouldn’t be coming apart so soon.

after reading reviews on both kindle and m-edge go, decided to go with m-edge because of the possible cracking of the kindle issue stated in reviews of the kindle model. A friend of mine has the kindle version and has not experienced the issue and uses their cover and kindle more than i do.

I bought this cover after reading reviews of many products and thought this was probably the best one for my needs. I like that is uses the locking clips to hold the Kindle in place and that it has the elastic bands for the right side to help hold the Kindle down. For my needs it works just fine!

When I bought my Kindle 2, I picked up an Amazon brand Kindle cover. It was nice, but it allowed the Kindle to come away from the back cover and bend the hooks which held it in. I’m lucky that it didn’t damage my Kindle. This M-Edge cover has those great little corner straps, however, and I’ve never had that problem again. It holds my Kindle secure and keeps it safe. It’s a great product and I recommend it over the Amazon brand cover.

When I ordered my Kindle, IT DID NOT SAY THAT IT CAME WITH A COVER!!!! So, I thought I had to order one. This cover came a week before my Kindle. When my Kindle finally came, I discovered it came with a much better, more compact cover included. The Kindle arrived in Florida as I was leaving to go back to Montreal. When I got back to Florida, I mailed the first cover back to you. What an aggravation and waste of time. Please stop sending me the ridiculous ads to buy more covers. Why would anyone want to buy another fatter cover? Lillian Vineberg

    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
You definitely need a cover with the Kindle. I chose this one, because of the comment that you can fold it back all the way. Sure enough this is a great feature, as it still fits in your hand. The mechanism to hold the kindle is very strong, and I’ve had no issues. (it is on the left side of the kindle, more than the straps showed.) This is no stay closed featured, but that has not been a problem. It does stay full closed and lays flat. Great accessory.

    Good, not bad.

Only one bad point this jacket has.

The upper latch is easily unlatched when the user moves fast or the bag swings.

But due to the double latches, I have never ever felt any nuisance.

If I were you, I will buy this product.

One of my best choice among the purchasements in Amazon.

The Kindle jacket is good quality the only fault I have is the ease getting the kindle into the side clips. The Kindle wont stay in both clips at once, one always comes out leaving the Kindle sticking out one end.

This is an excellent product that provides perfect protection for the Kindle. The bonus on this product is the two leather tabs that secure the right side of the kindle to the cover. These right side tabs are in addition to the latch on the left side that is used with most Kindle Jackets. The right side tabs prevent the Kindle from lifting on the right side which can happen when changing the position of the Kindle as you read. This can be annoying and my wife reminds me of this as I bought her the wrong kindle cover a few weeks after I bought the M-Edge GO!. This is a a product definitely worth buying!

THE COVER WORKS WELL BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE OPENINGS FOR THE SPEAKERS. IF YOU WANTED TO USE THE TEXT TO SPEECH OPITON FOR A BOOK YOU WOULD NEED TO REMOVE IT FROM THE COVER WHICH WOULD NOT BE CONVENIENT. OTHER THAN THAT OPTION MISSING, THE COVER IS GOOD.

Could maybe use a pocket for holding whatever one might carry with a kindle, but otherwise this thing is excellent. Center clips hold very well and the holds on the outer corners are a must have. You don’t realize how important they are unless you haven’t had ‘em.

It’s good, but there are some flaws
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I have only owned my Kindle since Christmas, and already I am so happy that I also received this for Christmas as well. I have no idea what I would do without it, honestly.

    Pros —

    1. Keeps dust out – Plain and simple. Right now I am getting a degree, so I don’t have time to be reading the Kindle every day. This handy thing will keep the Kindle in a safe spot and keep it mostly dust-free. I keep it in a drawer but it doesn’t hurt to have it in this jacket all the time.

    2. Secure – This jacket will keep any Kindle securely in place. I would have no problem taking my Kindle on an airplane or something like this if it is kept in this jacket. If you use the locking mechanism and both of the little corner covers then your Kindle will be good to go anywhere you go!

    3. Soft – I also feel perfectly safe keeping my Kindle in here because the fabric that is used on the inside is some sort of microfiber so it is really soft and will not scratch the Kindle at all. The outside itself is leather which gives a nice look.

    Cons —

    1. Not easily removed – I’m not one to have something that bulky in my hands when I am trying to read a novel on my Kindle. Usually I just take it out and get on with my life, but I’m noticing that the two little leather holders that hold it in are becoming more and more loose, so I don’t put the leather ties over the Kindle is I know that I am going to be taking it out again in a few hours.

    2. Spine Lines – Again because of the leather jacket that folds around the Kindle itself, I like to pull back on the cover and fold it under the Kindle so that I am just viewing the Kindle fully and not a blank gray thing in my eyesight when I’m reading.

    3. No “latch” for the case – Not really a “con” per se, but if someone were to look for something with a latch then look elsewhere. If you keep it sandwiched in a bookbag or something, this case will not fly open, but if you have it on top of something and a gust of wind comes by then the flap may fly open on the top.

Overall, the look to this product is really great. The leather gives it a really cool look and it is easy enough to use the Kindle when you place it inside of this case. I would recommend this product to someone in the future if they are looking for a case for their Kindle (which I recommend if you are going to travel with it and/or take it with you anywhere and don’t want it to get dirty/scratched)

I am very happy with the M-Edge Kindle cover. I have only been using the product for a few months, but at this time I am very satisfied with it. After hearing so many reports of the Kindle becoming cracked, I was afraid to order one. My husband went ahead and ordered it for me as a surprise. I then checked reviews and decided to try this cover because it anchors it on both sides and therefore is unlikely to cause cracking. It performs beautifully. I am able to slide it into my purse and take it with me. It remains well protected by this cover.I love my Kindle but it would not be so useful if I had to leave it at home. This cover allows me to transport it safely and really makes it seem like a real book when reading.

    M-Edge GO! Kindle jacket
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I ordered this product after reading that the Amazon case has sometimes led to cracking of the Kindle. I thought this one, with its corner holders would work better. So far, I really like the case. From pictures, it seems bulkier than the Amazon case, but I’d rather not risk cracking the Kindle. I like that I can fold the top of the jacket under and the construction seems sturdy enough that I’m not afraid the spine of the jacket will be overly compromised by my doing so. I think I may eventually order a zippered jacket for travel, especially since I’m now considering buying a light for my Kindle.

This case is perfect for the Kindle. Some of the other cases open vertically and make the product feel more like a giant calculator. This makes it feel like you’re reading a nice leather bound book. It also protects the Kindle perfectly and thoroughly. Some of the other cases seem cheaply made and not as safe as this one. I’d for sure buy it again an dfor anyone who has a Kindle.

Build muscles while you read – beware the weight
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This product is constructed very well and will probably last a long time.

However, Beware the weight and thickness of this cover. It will feel double the weight and double the thickness once you have it on. I really enjoyed walking to lunch reading my kindle with no cover. It is light enough to easily hold in your hand and not really notice any fatigue. I didn’t like feeling that someone might bump me or I might stumble and drop my kindle and crack it so i got this cover. Once i put it on it was a noticeable difference when i was walking at lunch and reading it. Now, many people may say you shouldn’t walk and read at the same time but during lunch i can walk for exercise with not too many people around and get in some reading.

The cover is very nice and feels secure and sturdy. I feel my kindle is much more protected but can’t decide if i like a lighter less secure kindle or a heavy protected one.

No point in not having one
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
If you have a kindle you will immediately be afraid to drop it. While it is not really fragile, it still has a glass surface and dropping it will definitely chip it at a corner. Yeah, it is a tool and you do not buy a case for your hammer either. Still it is a) masking the product a little (I like that) b) gives it a classy look and c) most importantly protects the surface from scratching. If you ever left a CD or DVD in your briefcase without a cover you know what I mean.

I was thinking about making a pouch or something but this just adds hassle to the handling. And since it is a book, you shouldn’t have more to do than open it. So browsing through the merchandise I found a couple of butt ugly pieces. Also, not being the Duke of Wellington I was looking for something affordable that would last and look good.

Yes, I was thinking leather not rubber, even if it’d jump back in your pocked when you dropped it.

Once you are set not to waste money to super cheap s*** and feel not aroused by rubber coatings you pretty much land on that M-Edge Go! thingie – what a stupid name.

The right side corners are fixed by rubber bands and are a bit flimsy. I’d have prefered if they used sth. more resilient. Also it does not make me coffee in the morning. Hence the 4 stars.

But other than that it is perfect. I can take it with me everywhere and toss it on a table or in the car or in a briefcase without a second thought.

Not to forget it got delivered even abroad lightning fast.

Should work on the name though.

    M-Edgte Kindle Jacket
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I really like my M-Edge leather Kindle jacket. The quality of leather both inside and outside is excellent. In reading a review of another brand, it said there was wear and tear around the two clips that hold the Kindle in place and caused the Kindle itself to crack. The M-Edge cover has two straps that fit around the outside corners of the Kindle holding it secure. There is no movement that could cause damage. If I had it to do all over again, I would buy this one again.

    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve had the “M-Edge Go” Leather Jacket for a few months now and love it. It feels nice in the hands and gives it some nice protection too. Compared to some of my friends Jackets I prefer this one. I’ve heard of some Kindles cracking around the area where the Jackets clip into the Kindle. The “M-Edge Go” has the outside elastic straps that keep the kindle secured to the jacket on both sides therefore taking some of the stress off of the clip-in side. I would recommend this for any Kindle.

    Good jacket for the money.
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a really nice case for your Kindle that I believe improves upon the Amazon branded jacket. The leather has a quality look to it, and the internal grey suede provides a soft surface to protect the screen. The side straps do a nice job of holding the Kindle in place, in addition to the hinge attachment. At first I thought that the straps might get in the way or be distracting, however since using the case I have not noticed them. The only criticism I have is that the case does have a bit of a smell to it – not leather, but more of a chemical smell. The only improvement I would suggest is adding some type of a latch to keep the case from opening.

I’ve had this cover for just over a month now and it’s already paid for itself. While at lunch one of my friends knocked over his diet Coke and the cover saved the Kindle from getting destroyed. Kindle stays securely in the cover and does it’s job protecting the screen. It’s very comfortable to hold and looks great. The only draw back is that it’s a little tougher to get the “Prev Page” & “Next Page” buttons on the left side but, it’s a small concession for the security it provides for the device. Highly recommend this product!

I got the black leather and it really looks great. Many people mistake it for a Day Planner, which is a plus as it disguises your kindle. It is very sturdy and protective, but still allows you to bend the front cover back behind for easy one handed reading. It was extremely simple to connect to my kindle. The hinge just clips in and the loops secure the right side of the kindle. I would highly recommend this to anyone who uses their kindle on the go. A great product!

Loved it! Except for one thing…
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I received my M-Edge GO! two weeks ago and immediately put my Kindle in it. I received my kindle for Christmas but waited to use it until I got a jacket to protect it. The size, portability, color and hinge were perfect for my needs except for one thing. I bought mine as a package with the M-Edge e-Luminator2 Kindle Booklight and screen protector (which I have not put on yet). The size is perfect for the Kindle, it makes me feel like I’m really holding a book. The black leather gives you that smooth feel and I can fold the cover to the back with ease. All the buttons on the Kindle were accessible and easy to push even with the cover on. It is thin enough and a perfect size to carry in my purse and bring everywhere with me. I was able to put the Kindle on the hinge with no problem and it seems like it’s working great so far. To me this is perfect.

The only complaint I have about this is that I was under the impression that the booklight included in the package was going to fit perfectly on the left side of the kindle so that it is out of sight when I close it. I was thinking I can keep the light with the kindle so that it’s there when I need it (and not stored somewhere else that is not close by). Although the booklight is quite small, it made the cover bulky and when I try to close it, there was not enough space in the ‘spine’ of the jacket. When I tried squeezing the light on the left side and tried to close the jacket, the cover did not cover the kindle completely and it mishapened the jacket. So I resorted to putting the light on the right side (instead of the left)where it is visible. After awhile I just took it out and put it in my bedside drawer because it got annoying and distracting.

Other than that. I love this jacket, I just wished there was a little bit more space for the light.

I have been using he cover now for one and a half month and it is holding up great, looks good too.

Easy to put on and take off. Holds the Kindle securely in the cover with no flapping against back.

Haven’t tried any other covers and it don’t look like I will have to.

    Love the M-Edge jacket

This jacket is exactly what I needed. It is well made, just the right size and I really like the two leather tabs that fit over the corners of the Kindle to keep it tight in the jacket. I highly recommend this jacket.

    Good value
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Well designed to be good looking, not bulky, and of leather. The top cover folds around completely — something not mentioned anywhere in its literature, but a necessary function giving access to the left buttons and getting the top out of the way.

Only negative is the fastening system — other M-edge covers use four elastic bands which work very well.

Following other reviews which rated the M-Edge GO! cover and having physically seen the standard offering, I decided to go for this one. I am not sorry. It is practical, portable and well made. My only suggestion to the manufacturer/designer would be that the spine could be slightly wider so that one could include a thin notepad and a pen/pencil. Otherwise it is excellent value for money.

Great cover! I read a lot of the reviews on the other kindle covers and am very glad I chose this one. Makes my kindle look and feel more like a real book with a classy leather cover. Also love that it can fold all the way back so it’s easier to hold. It’s true that after reading for a long time with the cover flipped back, it does not want to stay closed by itself, but I just put it face down and there’s no problem. I highly recommend this product

    Beware connection hooks!
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
I had M-Edge GO! from my Kindle 2 (K2) for about a month. Up until today the cover was doing the job of securing K2 just fine and looked and handled well in the process. Decent, soft to the touch leather and nice inside felt lining. Moderately thick to instill sense of some protection without adding weight and bulk. Easy to fold and keeps the shape. And most of all Kindle seemed to be secure attached by a winning combo of metal side hooks and corner straps. Nothing else to wish for the price except maybe making the cover a tiny bit smaller. Almost everything is better compared to a rather spartan and plain looking and feeling original Amazon cover.

So I was going to give it 5 stars until today morning on a subway I took Kindle from my bag and …it almost fell out of the M-Edge GO! Attachment hooks that were fine for a month for some reason got disconnected. After closer inspection I noticed that the bottom hook got bent and escaped from the Kindle slot. It’s enough to break free from one hook and the whole seemingly secure attachment scheme unravels – top hook also disconnects and straps slide off of Kindle corners. How this happened I don’t know. Over the weekend Kindle and the bag it was in didn’t suffer any more abuse than usual (I treat both kindly). It was very easy to bend the hook back into place probably thanks to the softness of the metal.

I don’t know if I got somehow unlucky or it’s a manufacturing defect but please beware that it can mar experience with this otherwise excellent cover.

    Good Design, Poor Quality Control
    Rating:1 out of 5 stars
This cover is well designed. Connects to the Kindle’s integrated connectors as advertised. Straps on the corners securely retain the Kindle in the cover. Unfortunately my cover came with a seam that was poorly glued or stitched and immediately began to pull apart where one of the corner straps insert. I may try to glue this back together or seek a replacement. As of now will NOT buy another product from this company until the company responds concerning this poor quality control.

    Well Made, Beautiful Cover
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Here is the deal, I love this product but I returned it. Make sense? Good.

I ordered this product 2 weeks after getting the Kindle2. I chose it because of the right side bands that hold the corners of the Kindle in place. The reviews of the official Amazon case talked too much about cracks and I figured the extra support from this cover would help avoid that problem.

And it probably does, I doubt my Kindle would have ever cracked if I kept this cover. It is made exceptionally well, the material is plush but tough. Stitching is great, the Amazon approved connector works great, I really have no complaints.

The problem was that I turned out to be a ‘naked kindle’ type reader. After using it without a cover for the first two weeks, I really liked reading it bare in my hands. It is so slim and easy to hold on its own that adding the cover took away from it a bit for me.

So I decided to return this great cover for a simple case. Nothing against the M-Edge GO, just not the style for me.

    Near-Perfect Kindle Cover
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I was originally going to buy the official Amazon cover because I was concerned that this cover’s straps for the Kindle’s corners might get in the way. But, after reading about cover-cracking issues with the Amazon cover, I opted for this one, and love it. Here are some thoughts:

-Contrary to my worries, the straps do not get in the way while reading the Kindle.

-The Kindle edge hooks worked fine once I read the instructions on how to attach the device (same as for the Amazon cover).

-The outside of the cover looks and feels like a high-quality day planner. I can leave it on my desk at work and not have to constantly answer questions about my Kindle (“What’s that?”).

-The inside is soft suede, which is easy on the hands and does not scratch the Kindle display.

-The weight is fine. I thought adding a cover might be an issue, as I was getting used to handling the naked Kindle before I bought the cover. The assemblage feels like a day planner in weight.

-After about a week of use, the “binding” wore in, and folds back nicely. At first, it was a little stiff.

This is a significant improvement on the Amazon branded case.

Not much needs to be said – well made, affordable, better than Amazon’s.

    Would not lock into place.
    Rating:2 out of 5 stars
I already own an Amazon cover so I know how to lock my Kindle into the hooks, but this was not the issue with my M-Edge. I worked with it for about 45 minutes until I finally gave up. The upper hook would not latch securely. I slid the hook down but it would not lock into place even with me trying to force it. I was worried I was going to break my Kindle because of all the pressure that I was forcing trying to get it to lock in that I finally gave up. I really think my cover was probably a fluke, but it’s going back nonetheless.

I got my Kindle 2 for Christmas. It’s a wonderful machine, and solidly built. But it always felt like it was naked and sort of fragile.

This cover is exactly what it needs. It’s extremely well constructed using good quality leather. I was worried that the clip device in the center would sag and allow the reader to flop around a bit. But they’ve secured the clip so well that this is a complete non-issue. Together with the corner straps, my Kindle2 is totally safe and sound inside the cover. Good engineering and excellent construction with top-quality materials; what’s not to like?

I got the mEdge light at the same time; also top-notch, and fits into this cover like a glove.

    Good Cover
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a great, solid cover. The hinges and straps keep it secure, and it looks very nice. The only trouble I had was that the e-luminator2 does not fit inside while it’s closed. The light still fits inside the little slit, but I assumed it would fit inside. Not the covers fault or the lights, just me overlooking this fact. So, great cover, just don’t expect the light to fit inside while it’s closed.

Got this today to protect my new kindle 2. It is lightweight yet seems durable. Its got a felt-like material on the inside and secures the kindle with the locking hinge. It gives the kindle a snug, protected feel and doesn’t interefere with its use – in fact it sort of gives it a more book-like feel when you are reading. Definitely recommended.

The one reservation I had about owning an E-reader of any type was it wouldn’t feel like a book while I was reading. This cover for my Kindle makes my very loved Kindle feel as familiar as an old friend. Love my cover, love my Kindle.

    Very nice Kindle jacket
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I ordered this product because of the number of good reviews for it and from the pictures I liked the look of it. One of my co-workers has the Amazon jacket and though it looked nice, it just didn’t seem to be what I wanted to carry around.

I like the extra security that the corner straps provide and the overall compactness of the jacket. It does add a bit of weight to the kindle, but the other jackets I had seen in person had done the same. The extra weight helps provide the kindle with a bit of “robustness” in my experience and I feel less prone to dropping it.

Overall, I love this product and don’t see myself replacing it with a different jacket.

    Works perfectly
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This is the cover that should come with the Kindle. Solves all of my mobile reading problems. The side loops are not a distraction at all, and act as a bit of a buffer between the cover flap and the screen. Fold the cover all the way around and give the kindle some much needed beef to recreate the feeling of an actual book. No more tired thumbs holding the often too skinny Kindle.
