Fell apart
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I got this and used it once and it was fine but then unfortunately I had to use it a second time and it lost all of it pumping function. When I pulled the trigger after that,al I got was a little puff that would barely move a cotton ball, much less a clog in the drain. I gave up and threw it away and went and bought a plunger.

Poorly designed

This item broke in 3 months. It is made of cheap plastic and will break very easily. I suppose it could have been my fault as I may have pumped it up one pump to much, but I think it grows weaker each time it is used until it cracks. Nice idea, but metal chamber would have been a better construction.

Not in my toilet
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
It did not work in my toilet. After numerous repeated tries, I went back to a regular plunger. It did not make a seal with the outlet for the toilet. In addition, it often sprayed toilet water all over me.

The first Air Blaster arrived with a cracked casing, making it useless. A replacement was sent also had a cracked casing. I then recieved a notice of a production problem and am still awaiting shipment of a good Air Blaster. This problem has been on going for about a month. What ever happened to inspecting a product before shipping it?

Disappointing Results
Rating:2 out of 5 stars
The Air Blaster Power Drain tool that I received was very flimsy and was cracked around the handle. When I pumped it up, air could be heard escaping. So when I actually used it there was barely enough air pressure to get the job done. I decided to repair it with epoxy and a rubber gasket that I found around the house. With that done I was able to pump the unit up and it maintained a pretty good amount of pressure. I tried it on a stopped up toliet with very poor results (it didn’t work). However it worked great on my bathroom sinks. Overall its a decent product (after I repaired it),yet not as good as advertised. I’d think twice before purchasing this item if I were you.

It Really Works!

I have tried to unclog my shower drain for two weeks. I’ve tried 2 bottles of draino and a bottle of liquid plumber, as well as the handy plunger and a coat hanger. However, I was unable to get it unclogged and had to shower in the other bathroom.
This was a horrible clog as water would be in the shower for 2 days before draining! I was hesitate about buying this device since it had mixed reviews but boy am I glad I did! The first couple of times I used it there were no results. Then I realized I was not holding the device on the drain until after I pulled the trigger. Listen folks, the third time, the time I did the procedure correctly, the water went SLURPPPPPPPPP and the drain was clear. I ran water in the shower to see if it was a temporary fix but, it is clear. Praise the Lord for whoever invented this thing.
Folks, if you are having trouble getting your drain unclogged with this, try keeping the pressure on the plunger until after you pull the trigger. I can say it didn’t work the first two times I tried it but, when I realized I was not allowing the air to go into the drain as required I tried the procedure again – correctly this time. Like I said, it is great and I am so glad I bought this little gem as it has saved me a plumbing call of about $100. If I had known about it before purchasing the liquid drain openers I would have bought it and saved another $30! Seriously, this little device does the trick!

The worst online shopping experience I have had
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I had the worse online shopping experience with this product. First of all, the product did not arrive until over a week after the promised delivery date. Second, the box was already openned and resealed with one key item missing. A request for the missing part went unanswered by either Amazon or the manufacture. Hope this was a exception.

I have an old house with some quirky plumbing. My tub often clogs. This is an ingenious little device. I bought the older version of this and loved it. This version is better because there are no attachments to manually hold on. So if you like the old model, you’ll like this one better.
Having said that, this will not clear all clogs. My clogs are often due to hair and it will move them but not necessarily blast them away. I highly recommend a $1.98 gizmo called Zip-It that works wonders for clogs(got mine at the midwest chain Menards). Used in conjunction with another tool the Air Blaster can be very effective. For small clogs it works really well. Do NOT over pump it. It also traps water in the top, so shake it off in the tub or sink when you’re done and before you store it. I’m not sure how well this would work on really small sinks or sinks with low angled faucets.

My master vanity has been draining slowly for over a month. We tried using a plunger with some luck. It would make the flow a little better for about a week and then start backing up again. We have a lot of stuff under our sink and I didn’t enjoy the though of removing everything to take the P-Trap off and clean it out, so I put if off day after day.
Then one day last week while at my friends house, I saw this drain buster in her laundry room. She said it works great and said I could borrow it. She told me to pump it seven times and put the correct size drain adapter on the end and it would do the job.
This morning I went to our master vanity and ran hot water till it started to back up. I pumped the blaster seven times and angled it down into the drain. The tip angles to accommodate the position that you will have to put it at to fit it under your faucet. I pressed down firmly to make sure I had a good seal and pulled the trigger! Wow an explosion of black junk came out and all over the mirror, our toothbrushes, Q-tips, tissue holder and everything else that was on the counter. Amazingly none was on me, but what a huge mess. I looked down and the water was rushing down the drain. It worked.
After cleaning the vanity and everything on it, I decided to blast the other drains in our house including the kids lavatory. This time I only pumped it 3 times at first and worked my way up to seven pumps. I also draped an old towel over the sink and blaster right before pulling the trigger. I highly recommend you do this when you are using it on sinks. I changed the tip adapter to the larger one and also did the showers and kitchen sink. Boy what a difference. I came to Amazon to order my own! We are on a septic system and I like the fact that I’m not using caustic chemicals (that often times don’t work).
One other bit of info that will help is that you may need to remove the drain stopper on your sink. If yours is attached inside the pipes like mine was you will have to reach under the sink and unscrew the cap that holds the ball and rod in place. If you pull the rod out from the pipe a little you can then pull your drain stopper up out of the drain assembly. Don’t forget to temporarily tighten the ball/rod and cap back while you blast your drain.

The product was cracked. They sent me another one that was cracked in the same place. The seller admitted that they had a problem with their supplier and would no longer do business with them because of these cracked drain cleaners. Knowing they had a problem with this item, they still made me pay for return shipping. I think they were trying to get out of paying for refund. This seller was a major headache to deal with – very difficult.

This is probably the worst item that I have ever purchased. It was new stock and when opened the plunger housing had cracks inside that were not visible and the air pump did not work. I threw it in the trash which is where it came from.Jobar Air Blaster Power Drain Cleaner

This product did not work at all. My bathtub was stopped up for almost two (2) weeks. I followed the directions as suggested. All that it did was make a noise and splash dirty bathtub water all over me. I would not recommend this to my worse enemy.

Pump 15 times and seal under standing water.

This thing is a wonder and much better than having to look at let alone touch the greasy hair gunk that’s clogging everyone’s drains. Let me qualify my considered opinion that if cheapest and most effective is your route to speedy drains you’d be better off w/ a Zip-It (Ace Hardware); but then again they are’nt worth [...]when confronted with a slow toilet (pun intended). Just reverse the black gasket.
Cheap plastic but it’s pretty durable.
Certainly worth the money as it pays for itself if avoiding even one plumbers service call.

I read mixed reviews on various websites regarding this product, but all I can say is that it WORKED FOR ME!!! We had a slow draining shower and a slow draining bathroom sink. I used bottle after bottle of liquid drain cleaner with minimal or no results. I was so sick of standing in the shower with water up around my ankles. Then I got this Jobar Air Blaster Power Drain Cleaner and gave a couple of blasts down the shower drain, and it has been draining super-fast ever since, and it has been over a month! And it worked on the bathroom sink too. (I had to angle it a little to get around the faucet but I still got a tight enough seal to do the job.) The minimal results I got from liquid drain cleaners didn’t last nearly that long, if they even worked at all. Plus I like the idea that I’m not pouring such caustic chemicals down the drain and into the environment all the time. The lubricant on the pump smells stinky for a week or so after you open the package, but I’ve noticed that that smell has gone away. Basically I am just so excited about this product and I’m so glad I got it. It’s already paid for itself with what I’ve saved on liquid drain cleaners. I hope it works for you too!

I wound up buying a very similar product (not this exact one but looks almost exactly like it) I can tell you the one I got has absolutely worked WONDERS on the shower drain. You never have to touch any gunk and just a few blasts with this thing has kept the drain completely clear. Quite amazing.
Just remember to put duct tape around the overflow hole before blasting away, else its not effective. Cover up any holes and its mind-bogglingly effective.

Worked For Us!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I think this is a GREAT item! I’ve read several positive and negative reviews but have to say this worked the first time on our sluggish toilet. I had tried several chemicals, plungers … everything except calling a plumber.
Received this item and in less than 2 minutes after opening the package, the toilet was flushing normally again.
Like other reviewers had suggested, I placed a towel over the top to prevent “back splash” which worked great. I personally would recommend this item as a must have for any home owner.
