The boots were almost exactly what I expected. If you are looking for a comfortable shoe I would not advise buying these boots. I don’t expect a pair of boots like these to be comfortable so that was no surprise.The shaft is very narrow so wearing with skinny jeans or a skirt are the two options. The boots have zero traction. I bought them during the winter and walking on snow and ice was close to suicidal if I was not extremely careful. I would purchase them again in a heart beat though.

My granddaughter loves the two pair of boots of the three we bought for her that fit. The pair that was too small was eventually given to someone else who wore that size and is also happy with her Madden boots. My experience w/ Amazon to try to return the wrong-size boots, a company which I have traded with since its inception, was a blazing nuisance.

Ok, ok, first off, apologies for the pun in the title, I just had to. But as I mentioned, Steve Madden has always been one of my favorite shoe designers in forward, or at least on-par, shoe styles for the young, chic lady, and they never fail to fit my foot perfectly. Anyway, like others have mentioned, this shoe does not have the best (if any) arch support, yet although I have high arches, I’m not so bothered by that fact — just wanted to mention. I also have slightly large calves, but am able to fit my skinny jeans into the boot, which is one main style reason why I bought this boot in the first place. Overall, happy with the purchase.

For Slim People Who Don’t Walk A Lot

These Steve Madden boots were ordered for our 18 year old daughter. She’s slim and wears them with skinny, skinny jeans or leggings, and they fit her like a glove. They look great, the suede is nice and soft, and the charcoal grey color goes with most anything. However, the soles are paper thin and the boots have no heels to speak of, or arch support. Our daughter says that she can almost feel the sidewalk cracks when she wears them out. So, it’s definitely a fashion boot. Don’t expect it to be anything more than that. One other thing – the chemical smell when the boots come out of the box is so overpowering you almost can’t breathe around them. Fortunately, it goes away after two days of airing. Just don’t do this in a closed room.

I’ve always been a fan of Steve Madden shoes and these boots did not disappoint. I was looking for an inexpensive (but not cheap-looking) tall, black boot for the season and was pleased to find these on Amazon for under $60…especially since I had been prepared to pay $79 at Macy*s if they’d had my size in stock. As is typical with Steve Madden flats, these ARE flat with little-to-no arch support so they’re not for everyone. They are true to size and have just the right amount of slouch, and they’re not overly tight around the calf. I also love that they’re suede leather, not faux/poly “suede”. Good on-trend boot for the price.

I ordered this pair of Steve Madden boots to wear with jeans and skirts. I love the genuine suede leather uppers and the cuff makes them stylish. The flat sole and slight heel are just what I like. I am very pleased that the shaft of the boot even fits over my larger calves. Not many boots can do the same. I own another pair of Steve Madden boots and felt confident that I would enjoy the Bonanza as well. A good look for a good price.

I have very skinny legs and these boots aren’t very tight when I wear my skinny jeans, but I don’t mind. They just scrunch some more! I recommend buying a protection spray to protect the suede. For the price, these are awesome and stylish boots!

These are really great boots! Very comfortable, and the fit is great. It stays up on my legs, even if it’s not that tight on my calves (I have thin legs), but it’s not loose either. The fit is just right. And they reach up to below my knees (I am petite). Best of all, it’s not expensive. And Amazon ships really fast. Love it!

I ordered these in 7.5 dark gray and never got the package, the USPS lost it, Amazon has a great customer service so they refund my money inmediately, today I ordered the same Bonanza 7.5 boots but this time in purple, I will let you know how they fit.
I got the purple Bonanza boots in 7.5 they fit a bit bigger than marked, but that’s fine because i wear boots with thick socks or leggings, they look cute with skinny jeans and the purple is a beautiful plum color, the suede is rich and soft, giving the boots an expensive look, I love them and ordered in brown too, definitely I would recommend these, great price for nice boots!

I loved these but it was too hard to get my foot into them. I would say my feet are on the wider side, which may be why. I would have tried a half size up, but they did not have 9 1/2. Not wanting to deal with shipping them back, I gave them to my sister.

I had been looking for a great pair of flat, grey boots for a while. These boots are perfect! They are stylish and comfortable. The best part is that the boot shaft is the perfect size! I have skinny calves and find that most boots are huge on my legs. These boots fit perfectly! I wear them all the time! Amazon definitely had the best price for these boots too!

This is by far my most comfortable pair of boots. I do not have big calves, and the boots slide down a little when I walk. I sew the inner lining to make it smaller, and it works perfect. Arch support is minimal, but you can add an insole. I’m usually a size 7½ or 8. I got the 8, and there is enough room for the insole and thick socks. I like this boots so much that I’m going to get another pair in another color.

I grabbed the forest green color when it was on sale for $27 on Amazon. At first, I was worry that the boots weren’t comfortable because the cushion-less flat bottom. However, the boots was comfortable and last me through a 10 hour day of photo shoot.

These boots were exactly what I was looking for. I always wear socks with boots, so I always order 1/2 a size up (I got these in an 8 and normally wear a 7.5). The foot portion was a little bigger than expected, but, as other reviewers noted, the soles are a bit thin. When I put in a foam insert, the boots fit perfectly. The gray is a lovely color, and the flats are so comfortable. The sale price after Christmas made these an excellent buy, too.

I have to admit, I’m in love with these boots! At fist I was weary to buy shoes over the internet, as I have very small feet. I was so surprised when Amazon had these boots in my size (5.5). These boots also came in my favorite color, purple, and they were about $45 off! (Payed $35 for the original price of $80)
They are true to size, but you do have to wear them in a little to reach maximum comfort. The purple was surprisingly easy to pull off and everyone noticed them! The price was great too, free shipping
was a great bonus.
The only negitive thing was the tread. I consider myself a fairly clumsy person and thse boots just didn’t give me the stabilaty I eeded. I felt myself slipping everywhere, but I managed to only fall twice!
Overall, these boots are great. Just be careful where you walk, you dont want to fall and get the suede all dirty!

These are my second pair. I originally purchased a Black pair back in Fall/Winter ’08 at the Steve Madden store and I have been wearing them ever since. They are different from others by its folding cinches and fold. After a year of wear, it finally retired. I wore them every other day. It does last pretty long! I recently purchased purple there and they are of the same quality!
I recommend going a half size down if you want it more fitted. It was snug at first, but once I broke them in, they were super comfortable!

These slouchy boots fit perfectly over skinny jeans. I was worried they wouldn’t fit over my big calves, but the boots do have some stretch. The suede is not top-notch, but I wasn’t expecting the best-quality material given the price. I’ve already worn them a few times, and the suede is pretty durable–no scuffs or scratches. Like one of the previous reviewers said, the gray is very hard to match. Despite the thin soles, they’re surprisingly comfortable. I’d pack these boots on the trip…yeah, these boots were made for walking.

I received these boots today and could not wait to try them on. I purchased them in gray and absolutely love the color. They go with everything and are a nice change from basic black. They fit true to size and are very well made. The suede is soft and supple and the inside is lined with a nice comfortable fabric. What really made me happy about them was the fact that they fit nicely over a pair of straight leg Levi’s. I assumed I would have to wear them with skinny jeans, leggings or tights. Now the options are endless. If you are on the fence about purchasing a pair, take my word for it, you will not be disappointed. They are gorgeous and are a steal at under $60.

Good Look, Bad Quality, Terrible price

I love how these boots look and was so excited to get them! However I paid $80 for them and just realized that a friend got them from Nordstrom rack for $20! These boots are too expensive on amazon and plus are bad quality. They have no arch support and were made in China- probably child labor. I know they look tempting but if I were you I would think twice about either getting them somewhere else for cheaper, or a higher quality pair of boots that look similar.

I absolutely love these boots. I wear a 7.5 size and these fit perfectly. I can walk the entire day in these boots without any ache in feet. Very stylish as well. I did buy the suede protector and applied it on the shoes and it has worked great. I bought it in the gray color that works with most of my outfits and does not get dirty quickly.

I bought these great boots for my daughter who is 20 and in college, because we found them on-line, they were the shade of brown that she was looking for, the slouchy style she wanted, they have great texture (suede) and furthermore they were actually less expensive than others we had considered. They arrived at my door quickly, and we gave them to her as an early Christmas present before she left for a 1-week trip to NYC, and she wore them every day and evenings with jeans and also her dress, walking all over New York City, and they always felt great on her feet, kept her warm, and they went with everything she wore. No wonder we are satisfied customers!

I’ve always loved Steve Madden shoes, but these boots are even better quality than I had anticipated for such a great price. The suede is nice and supple and the size is right on. Love the fold which adds a flap in the back, increases the style without going overboard. They’re very comfy too.

These knee high boots are really cute but not that comfortable! Did not like that the boots do not have any heal- and arch support! I returned them because of that. Also, the sole is super thin and no heal to speak off.I would have kept them had they had more heal and arch support!!!!

Great Quality, Lacks Style

Note: I love my shoes and my boots. And I will try anything in fashion once.
I got these in the hunter green and the coloring was gorgeous. I slipped them on and they fit okay, but they hurt the soles of my feet! The design of the boot is nice- slouchy, relaxed- great to be paired with rolled up jeans and/or a lazy skirt… presumably.
STYLE:
- the boot came up mid calf. I have long legs (36″ inseam), but I’ve found a few pairs of boots that reach my knees at least. These came up to mid calf, which had a way of cutting my long legs in half, making me look awkward. I tried to pull up the “foldover” part of the boot and even with that up, they still barely reached the bottom of my knee cap.
- The slouchy design is wicked cute. I wished these fit me right.
- the rounded toe and the flat foot paired with the slanted rise of the front of the shoe for the top of you foot, makes the shoe look like an elf shoe. (especially in the green color, unfortunately. I maybe should have picked a different color for my first Steve Madden flat boots)
COMFORT:
- the sole of the boot is really hard. The foot casing cuts into the backs of my heels/ ankles.
- I ordered a size 8 (which is my typical sneaker size) and they were a little big for me. If you’re borderline sizes, order down.
- there was plenty of room for the calves, even when the top of the boot hit right in the “meat” of my calf muscle.
- the shoe is so flat that it actually hurts my foot. There is no arch support whatsoever. Could be just me, but I guess I really can’t do flat boots. If you have high arches, these aren’t the shoes for you.
SHIPPING:

- I got these shoes within 3 business days during the christmas season. I ordered on a Thursday, one WEEK before christmas, and got them on Monday, BEFORE christmas. Fantastic. No damages to the packaging. They were in their own little plastic sleeves, stuffed with foam and cardboard to preserve shaping. Then they were put in a shoe box, and put into another box for shipping. Great service.
The style of the shoe is cute. The idea of the shoe is great. The reality of the shoe is not so much. I will be returning these and looking for a different style of boot.

This was my first purchase at Amazon and I must say that I am very pleased. For the past month, I’ve been searching for a good qaulity pair of boots and everything I found ran upwards of $100. The boots exceded my expectations; they feel great and the quality is perfect, especially for the price. They run true to size and the calf space isn’t too bad. I have big calves and I can still wear the boots with skinny jeans. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone.

I just got these boots in the “natural suede” color and I really love them! However, I do have to say that the natural suede to me, seems more like a light gray color, but I can’t complain becuase I love them so much! If you are looking for more of a white color, I would be careful w/this particular color! They are super comfy and I wore them all day even while moving furniture around! They didn’t fall down on me and they stayed up the whole day! I ordered a size 8.5 which is what I usually wear and they are true to size! Love them, just like all Steve Madden boots!

I purchased these because I bought a similar-looking pair from Target last year and the material already wore a hole completely through on both boots near the heel. I thought since this is a style that can be worn often, I should invest in a higher-quality pair.
I would have given them 5 stars, but thought they could be a little more comfortable. Not that they hurt my feet, but I took a long walk in them this weekend and one of them was rubbing a lot on the back of my ankle, so be sure you wear high socks (I probably shouldn’t have been wearing ankle socks anyway). In addition the sole could be cushier… I just think a 5 star shoe should be pretty darn comfortable.
Other than that they’re great and I’ll be wearing them often!

I wasn’t sure how I would like these boots without seeing them in person, but I was really surprised. The inside is so soft and they don’t fall down throughout the day. I liked the product but one week later I tried to order the same thing and it went from $40.00 to $84.00. That is ridiculous and it makes me wonder what else are they jacking up on this site. When called they refused to honor same price.

Amazingly soft, slouchy boots

I wear a 5 and got the 5.5 as it was the smallest size offered, and with my usual thick socks it fits just fine. I did read the reviews and took someone’s suggestion of buying gel inserts, which made a huge difference in comfort, as the soles are fairly thin. If you’re used to flat shoes it probably won’t matter, but if you tend to wear thick soles or heels, you may want to buy some gel inserts. The boots look very expensive in my opinion, and I love that you can wear them knee high or slouch them down to look different. The color is fantastic too.

I ordered 1/2 a size down (7 1/2) – I normally wear a size 8 if footwear is medium width as I have wide feet. The boots fit perfectly and are comfortable. I’d suggest before ordering these to measure your calf at the widest point over the type of pants/jeans you’ll be wearing to make sure they’ll fit corectly (which is what I did). The boots may be quite snug if you have larger calves. Had a bit of glue on the bottom of one boot but it came right off.

Bought these boots as a birthday gift to myself… was the perfect purchase. The boots fit perfectly, look great, and can be warn with just about anything. Only recommendation would be to purchase some kind of spray on protectant, as they are made of suade and can be damaged by moisture very easily.
