Mechanical, aeronautical or automotive engineering? which program is great career oriented and has a great pay

which program is the best in the above mentioned, in all respect.
all answers, reviews and experiences are welcomed

Answer
I got a degree in Aerospace Engineering and I work around mechanical engineers. I think all of the degrees you mentioned are good in one shape of another. You should probably choose one depending on the field you want to go into. I wanted to work on airplanes, so I got mine in AE. If you want to work on cars, Automotive Engineering might be the way to go. I would say the best test would be to go to monster.com and type in ME, AE, or AutoE in the search and see what kind of hits you get. Read the job descriptions of what is available and choose from there.

It is always nice to know all the pertinent information regarding a certain car which interests us, so that when we go to a dealer to purchase such vehicle we are well informed as far as its features and capabilities. This basic rule applies not only to cars and the automotive industry but to electronic gadgets, properties, etc.

When people hear the word “news” the first thoughts that come to mind are war, people killing each other, natural disasters, robberies (white collar, blue collar or plain old thieves), fashion, and any other event which catches our attention but there are in fact, all sorts of news and the automotive industry makes one of them.

It is very exciting to know when our favorite vehicle manufacturer comes up with new and improved models such as the Audi A4 (2009 model) or the all new Ferrari California. Before spending in such beautiful models it is a very intelligent thing to do to shop around, compare and actually read car review magazines or even better, blogs and forums which have active users who can share their experiences after owning a certain vehicle; networking is the key to a smart purchase.

Keeping up with all of these news is time consuming and a hard thing to do, unfortunately as useful as forums are, most of them don’t offer a direct feed where the user can subscribe and read all the latest discussion topics and articles through one news reader. Luckily, this feature is available on blogs, which can refresh their content as often as possible and provide handy tools to keep subscribers up to date through RSS feeds, this way a car enthusiast can subscribe freely to several car news blogs and sites which offer feeds and download all the news and headlines to one program.

Other newsworthy event within the automotive industry are “car shows and conventions”, depending on the place where you reside there are many ways to access up to the minute information about such events. Some are held in the US and create a great buzz, others in Canada and Europe. Many will agree that such conventions are the best events next to Xmas, Hanukkah, New years eve, etc.

Networking and exchanging ideas with other people around the world pays off, using the web to get detailed information about a certain vehicle leads towards a smarter decision which will satisfy not only your taste but your budget.

With increasing electronics in future car technology will there still be demand for mechanical engineers?

I know that there is a great demand for mechanical engineers throughout the world however in regard to the automotive industry will there still be a great demand for mechanical engineers despite future cars being more influenced by electrics? I read a review in the new Honda FCX clarity has only one moving part in it’s “engine”, and this car seems to be an example of where transport technology is going – dominated more and more by electronics.

To enter into the future automotive industry would it be wise to do electrical or mechanical engineering? I am keen on mechanical however recently this question has been lurking at the back of my mind.

Your answers are much appreciated.

Answer
The car chassis stiffness, its resonance to bumps, the deformation of the suspension elements in turns, the crush zones in case of accidents are all area where mechanical engineering would still be required.
More electronics means more electrical engineer’s involvement, but do not expect much reduction in the mechanical side.

Important: Frontal crash test ratings can be compared only among vehicles of similar weight. The Acura TL was redesigned for the 1999 model year. Dummy movement was well controlled. After the dummy moved forward into the airbag, it rebounded into the seat without its head coming close to any stiff structure that could cause injury. Measures taken from the head, neck, chest, and left leg indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible. 2002 Acura 3.2TL 4-door 3475 front seat-mounted torso airbags 108 193 71 3.2 L V6 19 29

Answer
$8,000 cash. The Carfax says the car is “clear”..

I know they will never sell for that price but a brand new Kia Rio is $8,000 with a 5 year warranty and it runs great and is fun to drive. That is not always true for a 2003 car..
