Summit Twilight (Blu-ray)The big-screen adaptation ofTwilight, Stephenie Meyer's bestselling vampire romance, is aimed squarely at its key demographic: teen girls whose idea of Prince Charming is a brooding, pale, undead teen who could kill you instantly at any moment. Such a prince is more fascinating than frightening to new girl Bella Swan (KristenStewart), who moves to the rainy-gray town of Forks, Wash., to live with her dad (Billy Burke), thelocal sheriff who's puzzled by a series of animal attacks. On her first day at school, Bella appears to (visibly) nauseate her lab partner, Edward (Robert Pattinson). Turns out the scent of her blood is this vampire's brand of heroin, and his struggle not to kill her causes an irresistible pulltoward her. Whether he's attracted for the normalreasons or because she smells especially sweet tohim is vague in the book and even less clear on-screen; nonetheless, Bella falls hopelessly in lovewith Edward, which sets her on a dangerous path when a few nomad vampires show up in town, one particularly keen on tracking the human. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen), Twilight is full offunny moments--not all of which are intentional--and the casting, from Stewart to Bella's self-absorbed friend Jessica (Anna Kendrick) is spot-on. ....read more

Twilight (Two Disc Special Edition)
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I pre-ordered the ‘Twilight: New Moon’ DVD and also bought ‘Twilight’ (2 Disc Special Edition) at the same time. ‘Twilight’ arrived rather quickly. (The New Moon DVD will be sent later this month after it’s release date). I really enjoyed the commentaries by Catherine Hardwicke, Kristin Stewart and Rob Pattinson on this Special Edition DVD, along with the special features section.

really bad doesn’t begin to describe it…
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
please people this movie is not worth the gum at the bottom of your shoe please dont buy it because you might inspire them to create a third part this movie is so bad your going to want to gore your eyes out with a spoon. This is strictly for fans of the book. The love was lame, the action was awful, and the main characters were jokes if any of the other characters where the main characters it probably would have been ten times better. The only reason this movies so popular because everyone wanted it to be good but it wasnt and everyone is still living in their dream world. Dont buy this movie its the worst decision you could possible make…ever!

an edition worth buying unlike new moons 2 disc special edition
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
from my last review of the new moon 2 disc edition i felt it was my duty to review the first in the twilight saga “twilight” i understand there are new fans everyday and they may be slightly put off by my review for the second movie about the content.
Twilight does deliver what any 2 disc edition should.
deleted scenes, production videos and featurettes, music videos…just to name a few.
of course this edition does not include the becoming of bella nor becoming edward the piano concert and vampire kiss montage as well is not inclued like it is on the UK edition of the 2 disc and blu-ray.
picture is alot clearer and kristen stewarts voice is original NOT DUBBED like europian / australian edition which is a plus.
story content is what you would expect from a vampire/human TEENAGE relationship.
Like the books the main character of Bella Swan does get repetitive and she is simply lost within a spell of the dark mysterious Edward Cullen. even though i am a massive fan of the twilight saga Bellas attitude and the lengths she will go to get what she wants just get pathetic.
If your not going to take the storyline too seriously or get offended it is definately worth it.
i do reccomend people watch the movie and give it a chance rememeber this review is just one of my own.
it is quite faithful to the book minus the train of bellas thoughts and nauseating dialogue in a way if you are new to the twilight saga i would actually reccomend watching the movie before the book. Of the US versions of this dvd, this is definately the one to buy. from what i believe the content is the same on the blu-ray

Zits and fangs.

Being a person that actually does read literature, I immediately saw the dollar signs flashing in front of the author and the movie company that wrote and released this drivel. What better way to cash in on the recent Vampire craze due to first the Anne Rice novels and then the HBO series “True Blood.” The next logical step was to create a series for teenage girls (and a few effeminate teenage guys) who consider this to be great literature and who probably also enjoy American Idol and other such mind-numbing foolishness. I finally put myself through the hour and 45 minutes during a bed-laden Saturday. I laughed all the way through it. The script could easily have been written by 4th graders. There isn’t much point in my complaining further because if the script sucks, the movie can’t be saved. Hats off though… I wish I’d thought of turning folklore into
puberty stricken angst.
Save yourselves teenies. Grab Lestat from the Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. You want blood and sex written on an adult level, there is your source. Stop reading and watching this crap unless you want to be dribbling spit and muttering nonsense to yourself by the time you are 30.

Not much bang for your buck
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
With all the Blu-Ray editions out there offering a DVD copy and a digital copy and Twilight offering none of these, the price on this is a bit much. I just took it for granted that it would come with one or the other if not both, but I was wrong. The quality is great but honestly I don’t feel for this particular film that the jump from DVD to Blu-ray was worth it, I do believe it will be well worth it on the second installment of this series, New Moon. You will be happier with the film if you haven’t read the book or if you read the book and aren’t a serious fan. The movie left a lot of important details out that would have made the film much more noteworthy. I loved the books but wasn’t all that happy with the film.

I love the movie, TWILIGHT!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This was a great movie.
I just finished reading the last book in the Twilight series and really look forward to the release of the last two movies.
The books and movie make me want to become a Vampire, that is if I could be like Bella!

I love this movie, but…
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My wife loves this movie, but the only thing that could’ve made this better was if it was in full screen.
I recommend buying this movie to anyone that does not have a preference on whether or not it is wide screen or full screen, because it is in fact, wide screen.
You need the Amazon unbox video thing to download it but you can watch it on Windows Media Player after you have downloaded it.

Love the love story!
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I wasn’t all that thrilled that the Blu-ray didn’t come with a regular DVD as well but…the music in the movie is amazing, as is the chemistry between the characters…the movie itself is okay – almost ordinary, a little different from the book but still a good representation…something about it draws you in though…
